Biography

• Dr.Li Shitong obtained the Bachelor of Medicine at Southeast University School of Medicine in 1982, and the Master of Medicine at Tongji Medical School, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1988. He completed his post-doctoral research fellowship training in University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas from 1999 to 2000.

• He started his anesthesia practice as a Resident at Zhongda hospital of Southeast University School of Medicine in 1982.  He worked as Assistant Professor（1988）and Associate Professor（1992）in department of anesthesiology at Union Hospital, Tongji Medical School. From 1995 on, he serves as Associate chief physician（1995）,chief physician,（1997）， Chairman （2000-2018）in department of anesthesiology at Shanghai General Hospital,Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.

• He won the Third class of “Silver Snake Award”(1997), the Second class Award for scientific and technological progress of Shanghai government(2003), the Special Government Allowance from The State Council of P.R. China(2004). He was selected as a candidate for “Top 100 outstanding medical academic leader training project in Shanghai”in 1998. He had completed 4 research projects funded by Chinese National Nature Science Foundation(2006, 2010, 2012 and 2018).

• He was qualified as a Doctoral Supervisor in Fudan university(2001)， Shanghai Jiaotong university（2002）and Nanjing medical university(2011). He was also elected as the Chairman of Anesthesia Society of Shanghai Medical Association in 2009.
