Biography

• Prof. Dr. Zhirong Yao graduated from the Second Military Medical University Nanjing Medical School in 1987, got a Master Degree in 1993, and a Doctorate Degree in 2003 from the Second Military Medical University (SMMU). Now, He is the professor and chairman of Department of Dermatology, Xinhua Hospital, and the Board member of the Professor Committee of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. His professional positions included: councilor of the International Eczema Council (IEC), vice president of the Chinese Dermatologist Association, deputy secretary general of the Chinese Society of Dermatology, former president of the Pediatric Dermatology, Chinese Society of Dermatology, and the president of Shanghai Society of Dermatology. He has published 115 research papers in the international peer-review journals including Am J Hum Genet, J Allergy Clin Immunol, Allergy, Lancet Infect Dis, and Nat Genet. His special interests are hereditary dermatosis and allergic dermatosis.
