Biography

  • Dr. Guo Xirong has long been devoted to the basic and clinical research of obesity, and related metabolic diseases. Associate editor in chief of Chinese Journal of Practical Pediatrics, Chinese Journal of Child Health Care. Member of the Scientific Research Management Division of the China Medical Association. In recent years, he has presided over and undertaken more than 10 projects, including China National Key R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 120 SCI papers mainly on Nature Reviews Endocrinology, Clin Cancer Res, Metabolism, FASEB J (corresponding author or first author); found five new full-length genes related to obesity; got 6 national invention patents and 1 software copyright approved.
