Biography

• Professor GUO Wei, graduated from the Stomatological College of Harbin Medical University in 1983. He was awarded Master degree in 1989 and PhD degree at Shanghai Second Medical University in 1992. From 1999 to 2003, he was appointed to be Vice Dean of School of Stomatology SSMU, Professor GUO is specialized in diagnosis and treatment of oral & maxillofacial and head & neck oncology, in particular for malignant melanoma and oral cancer with chemotherapy, immuno-targeted therapy and multidisciplinary sequential treatments. In the past 10 years, he has published more than 100 papers as the first and corresponding author in domestic core journals and international well-known journals, such as The New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of Pathology, which have been cited more than 300 times and edited 5monographs. In 2009, he won the Gold Award for Invention in Shanghai. He won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress in 2011; in 2015, won the second prize of Science and Technology of China Anti-Cancer Association. It has trained 8 masters, 17 doctors and 4 post-doctors. In 2003, he furthered his study as a visiting professor on head and neck tumor surgery at The University of Michigan.

• Dr.GUO is an academic leader of Oral & Maxillofacial- Head and Neck Medical Oncology Service at 9th People’s Hospital. He is Chairman of Integrative Medicine of Oral and Maxillofacial Oncology  Committee ,Chinese Anticancer Association.

• Dr. GUO is currently a member of the NCCN Board of China Modified Edition for Head and Neck Cancers Guidelines & ASCO

• Prof. Yang has been invited to the international conferences as speaker for 24 times including 6 topics in the recent years. He has also been invited for international surgical live demonstration 22 times in 10 countries. Professor Yang has accomplished more than 20 scientific research grants, published more than 300 papers including 140 SCI papers (Science Advances、Advanced Materials、ACS NANO) and edited 24 books. He has won the National Science and Technology Awards、National Invention Award. He is the outstanding young teacher in Shanghai and undertake the national first-class curriculum. A total of 41 patents are approved (ranked first), including 4 international patents, 8 of which completed clinical transformation. And  related products are applied in 21 international units.
