Biography

• XU Yuemin, second-class professor of Urology, chief physician, doctoral supervisor, enjoys special government allowance of The State Council. He won the National Health System Outstanding Worker, Shanghai Advanced Worker, Shanghai Outstanding returnee Talent, and Dean's Award of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He established Shanghai Eastern Institute of Urologic Reconstruction. In 1984, the world's first traumatic testicular replantation operation was successfully performed by him. In 2000, he pioneered a new surgical method of colonic mucosa reconstruction for complicated long urethral stricture at home and abroad. In 2006, reconstruction of urethra with lingual mucosa for urethral stricture was pioneered by him in China. He had won 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 3 third prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology Progress Awards; One second prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award; 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Awards.
