Biography

  • Professor Fang Bing is engaged in clinical and basic research on dento-maxillofacial deformities and jaw defects. She has hosted over more than 10 projects including 1 Key Program and 4 General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She has published 117 papers, including 62 SCI papers, many of which have been published in Int J Oral Sci, ACS Nano, CHEM ENG J, Biomaterials, AJO-DO and other top journals. She owns 20 patents (2 invention patents), 1 software copyright, 2 transformation. She edited 6 books including Mechanobiology in Stomatology and Orthognathic Surgery. She works as a Fellow of International College of Dentists (FICD), Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, Director of the American Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontist. She set up Chinese examination center and training center of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Membership in Orthodontics and opened international orthodontic training courses for countries along the Belt and Road, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. She is an associate editor of Chinese Journal of Orthodontics and Shanghai Journal of Stomatology and editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Stomatology. She won the 2020 Xingyuan Rongyuan Award of the Ninth People's Hospital, the 2018-2021 Chief teacher of the Teaching Motivation Team of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the 2017-2018 "The Bearer of Red Flag March 8" of Shanghai, and the 2021 Outstanding Member of the Communist Party of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the first prize of the third Shanghai Medical Tree Award for Clinical Medical Science and Technology Innovation in 2020, the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018 (ranked fifth), the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education in 2018 (ranked fifth), the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2013 (ranked second) and the second prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award in 2013 (ranked second) and other awards.
