Research Interests

• Dr. Yu Sun is a medical geneticist. She did her PhD in Human Genetics in Leiden University, the Netherlands. She is interested in the genetic background of pediatric diseases, especially intellectual disability/global developmental delay. To find the etiology of the disorders, she works on the following aspects:

1. Translational study on new genetic technologies to clinical diagnosis;

2. Identification of new disease causing genes using next generation sequencing;

3. Elucidating the mechanism of CREBBP related intellectual disability syndromes.
