Research Interests

• Dr Shang-Chun Guo’s laboratory has been working on scientific investigations that can be summarized as follows:

1. Biomechanics, regeneration and rehabilitation of locomotor system diseases.

2. The applications of innovative materials functionalized with biomolecules and modularized extracellular vesicles in regenerative medicine.

• The most characterized studies of our laboratory are the therapeutic effects and molecular mechanisms of native nanomaterials on locomotor system diseases. Nanomaterials have a promising application in the therapy of locomotor system diseases with the ability to encourage tissue regeneration and function recovery. We are combining multiple approaches including molecular biology, cell biology, histopathology, computational chemistry to illuminate the therapeutic potential of nanomaterials.
