Research Interests

• Dr. Zhao's research goal is to better understand the fundamental causes of atrial fibrillation through the study of genetics. Her group studies the genetic variations that are associated with atrial fibrillation. She is leading the studies of ECG artificial intelligence diagnosis, including one of the largest ECG database. She also studies how best to use wearable ECG monitoring equipment and ECG artificial intelligence diagnosis to identify patients at risk for life-threatening arrhythmias. She is interested in understanding the mechanisms and treatment of right heart failure in HFpEF. Dr. Zhao received funding from ministry of science and technology of the people’s republic of china, shanghai municipal health commission and shanghai jiaotong university program.
