Research Interests

• Dr. Xu's primary clinical area of research involves diagnosis and management of pulmonary hypertension associated congenital heart disease. Subareas of interest include myocardial function and performance, including heart failure, cardiopulmonary interaction, single ventricle physiology, nutrition support and technical advances in management of low cardiac output syndrome. She has played a major role in the perioperative management strategy of children with congenital heart disease and her research focused on support of the organs of complex congenital heart disease.
