• Clinical and basic research of congenital heart disease: surgical innovation, myocardial protection, and cardiac energy metabolism.

• New materials and technologies for cardiovascular diseases: synthesizing, modifying and fabricating biomaterials for cardiovascular tissue regeneration and disease therapies.

• The mechanism and intervention strategies of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH): including the characteristics of predisposing genes in PAH patients and the metabolic and epigenetic modulation of pulmonary vascular remodeling in response to hypoxia.

• Cardiac development and cardiac regeneration: understanding the molecular mechanisms of abnormal hemodynamics in regulating postnatal cardiac development.
