Research Interests
Guanghai Wang is the Clinical Psychologist, Sleep Specialist, and Professor at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center. He received doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in East China Normal University in 2015, and has completed research and clinical training in Pediatric Sleep Medicine at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC for 18 months. His research focuses on sleep, child socio-emotional development and developing brain. In typically developing children and children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, his studies examine how sleep and sleep disturbances are associated with mental health problems and social deficits, and explore the neurocognitive mechanism with eye-tracking, EEG/ERP, fNIRS, and MRI techniques. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals including Lancet, Sleep, and J Affect Disord. He is the active Board member and secretary of the Pediatric Sleep Medicine Committee, Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Committee member of the International Pediatric Sleep Association, and the Member of editorial Board of Behav Sleep Med.
