Research Interests

• Dr. Zhang’s research interest is the translation research of chemotherapy and targeted therapy for gastrointestinal malignancies. His research team has two major research fields: 1) organ specific metastasis including peritoneal metastasis, 2) tumor evolution under chemotherapy pressure. Serving as principal investigator, he is currently in charge of dozens of industrial sponsored trial and investigator-initialed trial, including phase 1 and phase 2 trials of first-in-human anti-cancer agents. He finished four National Science Foundation Grants, and research works have been published in international peer-reviewed journals including Molecular Cancer, International Journal of Cancer, BMC Cancer, Cancer letter, etc.
