Research Interests

• Clinical and translational study of liver diseases including fatty liver and drug-induced liver injury.

• Yimin Mao has been working in GI department of RenJi hospital since 1992. He was a medical reviewer in Center for Drug Evaluation of CFDA in 2003. As PI, he conducted more than 200 clinical trials in the field of GI and liver disease in China. He is also the leading PI of National Eleventh-Five, Twelfth-Five and Thirteenth-Five Major Project for building up clinical and translational research platform for liver disease in China. He is the founder of “Hepatox” (www.hepatox.org) which is the only platform for drug-induced liver injury (DILI) in China. Based on this platform, he is now leading a nationwide prospective real-world cohort in China, and has set up a large DILI database. More than 200 papers have been published. He got the second prize of National Science and Technology Awards in 2011 and the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Awards in 2010.
