Biography

Xiaoying Yao is now the associate chief physician of the Department of Neurology of Ren Ji Hospital affiliated to Medical School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is now a member of the Neuroimmunology and Genetic Biochemistry Group of Chinese Medical Association. She was graduated from Peking Union Medical College and got the doctorate degree. She conducted her post-doc research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center affiliated to Harvard University. She is specialized at neuroimmunological diseases especially neuromyelitis optica spectrum diseases (NMOSD) and multiple sclerosis (MS) and cerebrovascular diseases. She has published nearly 20 academic papers and hosted several national and provincial scientific research projects. She is dedicated in teaching and is the content expert of Ottawa-Shanghai Joint School of Medicine. She is in charge of the curriculum of Neurology, which was approved as the municipal key course of universities in Shanghai in 2022.
