Biography

Dr. Yin Lei graduated from Shanghai Medical University with master's degree in 1997. She was awarded her Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in 2017. Now she is Chief physician and the director of Nephrology Department of Shanghai Children’s Medical Center.   Dr. Yin engages in the diagnosis and treatment of children's kidney diseases and autoimmune diseases, including complicated urinary tract infection, refractory nephrotic syndrome, IgA nephropathy, acute renal injury, children's hypertension, hyperuricemia, renal tubular disease, lupus nephritis, purpura nephritis, Takayasu arteritis, thrombotic microangiopathy, macrophage activation syndrome, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, dermatomyositis, etc. She also has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis of rare and complicated diseases in children. Dr. Yin once accepted training in Nephrology Department of the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, Nephrology Department and the Rheumatology Department of Cincinnati Children's Hospital in the United States to study the treatment of children's refractory nephrotic syndrome, the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune diseases, the application of biological agents and the management of children's hypertension. The research direction of Dr. Yin is the pathogenesis of primary nephrotic syndrome and the treatment of refractory nephrotic syndrome in children.
