Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine is a member of the Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group (U21 HSG), and we encourage students to participate in activities organized by the U21 HSG.

The U21 HSG is a unique global university network of Health Sciences staff and students that includes members from 18 universities worldwide, and a collaborative group of Universitas 21. It provides Health Sciences Faculty of member universities a framework for exploring opportunities for collaborative research, information exchange and sharing of resources. Tur group includes the discipline areas of: Dentistry, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, Pharmacy, Public Health and Biomedical Sciences.

Dear U21 Health Sciences Group members,

The Faculty of Medicine at Lund University, Sweden, is delighted to host the 2023 U21 Health Sciences Group Doctoral Student Forum in conjunction with the U21 HSG Annual Meeting. Details of the Annual Meeting are here:https://u21health.org/lund-23

The forum will take place on Monday 28th August 2023 with the themes Aspects of Health in a Changing World and Climate Change and Effects on Health. The aim is to encourage discussion among doctoral students, to share experiences, and to consider the different effects of climate change on health and well-being.

We invite doctoral students from a range of disciplines across the U21 HSG members to present their work in Lund at the forum. Students are not required to give an overview of their whole project but rather, a summary of their research. The list of member institutions can be found here:https://u21health.org/our-members

The full day program will include sessions focused on:

· Short oral student presentations (5-8 min+ Q&A)

· Moderated poster session (5-8 min+ Q&A)

· Masterclass by a renowned Lund based researcher

· Networking/ social opportunities & prize presentation

Students will have the opportunity to obtain feedback from an international review panel, attend a masterclass in this area, and network with students and academics from 19 global leading universities. Students will also be invited to attend the U21 Health Sciences Group Annual Meeting event during the week.

Interested doctoral students should submit their abstracts by 10^th May 2023 to Alicia Lui, U21 HSG Secretariat at alicia22@hku.hk.
