Biography

  • Prof. Zeyu Xiao is a professor and doctoral supervisor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She obtained her B.S. in pharmacy from Peking University in 2003. She got her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the joint research between Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science and University of Florida in 2008. She pursued her postdoctoral training with Prof. Robert Langer and Prof. Omid Farokhzad in MIT-Harvard Center of Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence during 2009~2014. She started her independent career as a Professor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from 2015. Her scientific research has been focused on drug delivery and molecular imaging. She has published ~40 scientific papers in Chem. Soc. Rev., Nature Communications, Angew. Chem., Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, PNAS, Small, Biomaterials, Anal Chem, with citations by > 6000 times, and three Book Chapters. Among them, there has been 1 article cited more than 1000 times, 5 articles cited more than 200 times, 7 articles cited more than 100 times, and 3 articles selected as the highly cited papers by ESI. Her scientific achievement has been honored by some prestigious awards in China and U.S.A, including 1000-young talent programs award (2014), Shanghai “Eastern Scholar” Professor Award (2014), Harvard Chinese Life Science Distinguished Research Award, Harvard Medical School (2013), Women in Cancer Research Scholar Award, American Association for Cancer Research (2011). As principle investigator, she has chaired one sub-project of National Key R & D program of China and five projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
