Research Field

The research in Dr. Cheng’s laboratory mainly focuses on understanding the protein de-SUMOylation process mediated by SUMO-specific proteases (SENPs). They are particularly interested in determining the role of SENPs in regulation of inflammation and metabolism, and the mechanism underlying SENP regulation of these processes.
