Biography

  • Dingka Song completed his undergraduate degree at China Agricultural University and earned his Ph.D. at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He joined Dr. Jenny Ting’s lab in the University of North Carolina at Chapel hill as postdoctoral associate from 2019 to 2021. After that he come to Shanghai Jiaotong University school of Medicine as assistant investigator. His research is focused on the interaction between host and gut microbiota. He aims to understand the underlying mechanism of how the host immune system senses microbial derived signals and their physiological effect on the host. He is specifically studying this interaction and its effects during many diseases from bacterial infection to colon cancer progression.
