Biography

Dr. Qian Wang received her PhD in Community Health from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The focus of her research is on adolescent and young adult substance and internet use behaviors. Applying methods from the fields of epidemiology and health behavior, Dr. Wang examines the individual, interpersonal, and environmental factors that influence youth substance and internet use behaviors. Dr. Wang served as a peer reviewer for several international journals in her research field, including Computers in Human Behavior, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, etc. She also teaches multiple sessions of the core curriculum for students pursuing undergraduate degrees at the university, as well as an elective course on substance use.
