The program is China’s double first-class discipline and falls within the plan of training remarkable doctors by the Ministry of Education (MoE). In the MoE Ranking among Colleges and Universities in terms of Degree and Discipline Evaluation 2017, the program ranks A+.

Five-year Clinical Medicine (English class) is an undergraduate program jointly run by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of Ottawa. Aiming at cultivating remarkable medical innovation talents with international vision, SJTUSM collaborates with University of Ottawa to deliver medical core courses in English. Students with outstanding academic performance have chance to study abroad or take internship for a certain period. After finishing five-year study, excellent students have a chance to pursue graduate degrees based on their GPAs.
