On November 19, a delegation from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), led by Vice Rector for International Affairs Edilio Mazzoleni and Deputy Director of the International Office Gianlusa Samsa, visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SJTUSM). Heads of relevant departments, including the Office of International Affairs and the Academic Affairs Office, met with the guests on Pudong Campus. Both sides held in-depth discussions on education, student exchange, and scientific research collaboration.

Lu Zhaohui, Executive Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs of SJTUSM, extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced the School’s history and its achievements in talent development, scientific research, and international cooperation. Vice Rector Edilio Mazzoleni expressed gratitude for the warm reception and elaborated on UCSC’s philosophy and approach to international partnership. He gave a detailed introduction to UCSC’s training model for joint clinical medical education and gained a deep understanding of SJTUSM’s clinical medicine training and teaching system. Niu Xiaoyin, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, provided a comprehensive overview of the undergraduate education system and held lively discussions with the visitors on topics including credit transfer, curriculum design, and program structure. Both sides affirmed their strong willingness to cooperate and reached a preliminary consensus on the direction of future collaboration and mutual visits.
