Biography

• Professor CAI Zhengdong has long been dedicated to the clinical, teaching, and scientific research of orthopedics. He has been engaged in the clinical work of orthopedics for nearly 40 years. He is good at the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors and various complex artificial joint and revision surgery and is in a leading position in the translational medicine research field of malignant bone tumors. Professor CAI has been granted with 2 national 12th Five-Year Science and technology projects, presided National Key Research and Development Program, presided 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, presided 8 clinical trials, edited and published 5 medical monographs, and published over 170 peer reviewed papers as corresponding author. As the first accomplisher, he won the first prize in the China Medical Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize in the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize in the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, and the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award. In the past five years, related research results have been published in Nature Communications, Advanced Science, PNAS, Oncogene, Cancer Letters, Small, Biomaterials, etc. He also serves as the editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Osteology, the Chinese Journal of Bone and Joint, International Journal of Osteology and Orthopedic Surgery.
