Biography

  • In XIA Shujie career life, He found new pathogenesis of benign prostatic hyperplasia and established innovative theory of anatomic repair of prostate wound to functional recovery after surgery. Furthermore based on this theory, he establish trans-urethral thulium laser enucleation of the prostate (ThuLEP), and it make the individualized therapeutic plan decisions based on the personal volume of prostate possible. This technique received praise from Professor Stavros Gravas, a famous expert of F1000 and it was record in EAU guideline and many urological textbooks. Moreover, based on the need of innovative theory and precise surgical system, he independently invented domestic thulium-laser therapeutic machine and developed the “Group standard for Thulium laser Therapeutic Machine and Guidelines for Clinical Application”,to normalize the promotion of  technique. In recent years, He establish the theory, “mesenchymal stem cell was activated by mechanical force biological chain”, and new therapeutic mode to treat incontinence and erectile dysfunction. In near two decades, Shujie Xia and his team do enomous contribution to urology and got compliment from domestic and international urological society. With these contribution help, He build the top-class urological department of the Chinese hospitals and perform outstanding BPH surgery around the world.
