Biography

• Prof. Wu Yunlin was born in January 1951 in Shanghai. He studied clinical medicine in Shanghai Second Medical University and was conferred bachelor, master and degree in 1975, 1985 and 1988. He has focused in the early diagnosis of gastric cancer and endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding secondary to portal hypertension and has gained rich clinical experience as well as high proficiency in the aspects above. He is a doctorate mentor, professor (Tier-2) of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine and is awarded the subsidy for special donations by the State Council.

• Prof. Wu Yunlin held the post of associate director of Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, associate director of China Speciality Council of gastrology, standing committee member of Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopy and Chinese Medical Doctors Association Digestive Diseases Branch, executive member of Shanghai Medical Association, chief director of Shanghai Digestive Endoscopy Association and Shanghai Association for gastroesophageal varices  treatment as well as Department of Gastroenterology, Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.

• Prof. Wu Yunlin is the editor-in-chief of 16 medical literatures. He has published 180 papers and 25 SCI-listed papers. He has been awarded the outstanding doctor in Shanghai and has been warmly greeted by Chinese leaders including Deng Xiaoping, Song Qingling, Hu Yaobang, Jiang Zemin, Zhu Rongji, etc.
