Biography

  • YIN ShanKai, M.D., Ph.D., is currently the President of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital. As a senior Otolaryngologist, he serves as a doctoral supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prof. YIN also leads Shanghai Hearing Test Center, Institute of Otolaryngology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Shanghai Key Laboratory of Sleep and Breathing Disorders.

  • As a leader in several professional societies, Prof. YIN is Vice Chairman of the Committee of Otolaryngology of the Chinese Medical Association, Chairman of the Otorhinolaryngology Branch of Shanghai Medical Association, Vice President of Shanghai Hospital Association, President of the Chinese branch of the International Association of Physicians in Audiology (IAPA), and President of the 2024 Bárány Society meeting.

  • Prof. YIN has been devoted to improving healthcare and advancing science in Otolaryngology through integrated clinical practice, medical education and scientific research, with particular interests in obstructive sleep apnea, hearing loss and otogenic vertigo.

  • Prof. YIN has undertaken dozens of provincial, ministerial and national key scientific research projects with more than 40 million CNY research funding. As the first or corresponding author, Prof. YIN has published more than 200 papers in the main collection of the Web of Science and other top academic journals.

  • Prof. YIN was inducted into several senior talents programs, including Top 100 Cross-century Outstanding Discipline Leaders in the Shanghai Health System, Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Talents by National Health Commission, Silver Snake Award of the Shanghai Health System, Leading Talents of Shanghai, National Distinguished Young Scholars, and Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
