Biography
Dr. Li graduated from the Shanghai First Medical College in 1973. He received his master’s degree from Shanghai Medical University 1988, and his doctor’s degree in the Lund University in Sweden in 1993. From 1994 to 1995, Dr. Li pursued a post-doctoral program in the field of interventional neuroradiology as a visiting scholar in the University of Milanin,Italy.
From September 1973 to November 1989, Dr. Li served as an residency and attending doctor of the radiology department of Huashan Hospital in Shanghai. Dr. Li served as a chief doctor and professor since January 1992. From January 2000 to May 2018, he served as the chairman and doctoral supervisor of the department of diagnostic and neoro-interventional radiology of Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital. He retired and got an emeritus professor in 2019.
Dr.Li’s research interests lies in non-invasive imaging diagnosis and micro-invasive therapy for cerebral vascular diseases. He did a lot of work with MRA imaging in the diagnosis of cerebral aneurysms and spinal vascular diseases, and was also a principal of development and clinical application of Willis covered stent. He published over 150 scientific papers at international scientific journal and 9 books in the area of diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology.
