Biography

• Born in 1946, Dr Zeng Bingfang was graduated from Shanghai First Medical College in 1970 and since then had worked in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital until retired in 2016. He devolted himself in the clinical practice and sicientific research. In 1977, he joined the third Shanghai medical team to work in the Tibet Autogenous Region Hospital for 22 months and successfully performed the first case of replantation of severeb palm. He led a team to practice emergency microsurgery to repair the complicated tissue defects and saved lots of severely damaged limbs. Because of that he and his team won the Third Prize of Scientific and Technical Progress issued by the Minitory of the Public Health and the Shanghai Municipal Govenment in 1998. He also  devotes himself in Chinese orthopaedic surgeon education, especially when he was elected and held the post of the vice president of Chinese Orthopaedic Association (2007-2013) and the president of Chinese Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (2010-2013).
