• Introduction

• Second-grade professor, chief physician, doctoral supervisor of Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of medicine, and health care expert of central cadres. He used to be the vice president of Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, the director of the Department of Urology, the director of Shanghai Institute of Andrology, the standing member of the Urology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the vice chairman of the Andrology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the chairman of the Andrology Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, the vice chairman of the Urology Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, and the leader of the urology expert group for the specialist training of Shanghai. He has been long engaged in the clinical and basic research on urogenital tumors and andrology, and is expert in the diagnosis and treatment of urogenital tumors, male sexual dysfunction and prostatic diseases. He has profound attainments in nephron sparing surgery for renal tumors, surgery for renal cancer with inferior vena cava tumor thrombus, diagnosis and treatment of hereditary renal cancer, anatomical retropubic radical prostatectomy, and penis prosthesis implantation. In terms of scientific research, as the principal investigator, he has won 6 NSFC projects, 12 provincial and ministerial level projects, and has accumulated more than 10 million yuan of scientific research funds. He has published more than 30 SCI papers as the first author or correspondence author. In teaching, more than 40 doctoral and postgraduate students have been cultivated. He is the chief editor of “Prevention and Treatment of Complications in Urological Surgery”, “Clinical Renal Oncology” and “Clinical Practice in Urology”, and participates in the preparation of “Wu Jieping Urology”. In 1998, he was elected as one of hundred trans century outstanding academic leaders of Shanghai health system; In 2004, he won the title of "Top Ten Doctors" in Shanghai and the President Award of Shanghai Second Medical University; In 2006, he won the May 1st Labor Medal of Shanghai; In 2007, he won the highest honor of the Department of Urology, "Wu Jieping Award for Urology Medicine". He won the first prize of the 2014 Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award, the first prize of the 2015 Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education and the second prize of the 2016 Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award. In 2015, Professor Huang Yiran took the lead in donating 500000 yuan to set up the "Yiran Education Fund" of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, aiming to establish a comprehensive platform for clinical technique training, specialized nursing training and department management training, to improve the medical level of the department of urology in grass-roots medical institutions, and to cultivate urological specialists. At present, more than 5 million yuan has been raised to support nearly 30 urologists from 15 grassroots medical institutions in 8 provinces and autonomous regions, including Yunnan, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, to come to Shanghai for further study. In addition, "Yiran Education Aiding Flight Project" has been established in more than 10 grassroots hospitals, investigated 5 poor areas and hold more than 10 academic conferences. The project won the title of "Top Ten Good People and Good Deeds" in the Party Committee System of Shanghai Education and Health Work in 2018.
