Biography

  • Professor Yingli Lu, Director of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine; Vice President of the Huangpu Branch of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital; and Vice President of Clinical Medical School of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital.

  • Professor Lu organized the of Survey on Prevalence in East China for Metabolic Diseases and Risk Factors, (SPECT-China), and Environmental Pollutant Exposure and Metabolic Diseases in Shanghai (METAL study), and the survey of multi-ethic metabolic diseases in Yunnan, etc. Dr. Lu also focused on the basic research on the mechanism of metabolic diseases based on the above epidemiological study. Professor Lu published more than 170 peer-reviewed papers, many of which were in high-impact journals such as EHJ, Diabetes care, Diabetologia, Thyroid, JCEM, with total citations>3600. Her research has been supported from grants awarded by National Natural Science Foundation of China.

  • Professor Lu is the Deputy Director of the Chinese Medical Association, Internal Medicine Branch; Alternate Director of the Department of Internal Medicine of the Shanghai Medical Association; Deputy Director of Endocrinology, Shanghai Medical Association; and Member of Chinese Medical Association Diabetes Branch. Dr. Lu won the First prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress, First prize of CMWA WUZHOU WOMEN SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AWARD, Shanghai Leading Talents, and Shanghai Outstanding Subject Leader, etc.
