Biography

• Jiang Kaida, Chief Physician of Shanghai Mental Health Center, MD & Professor of Psychiatry of Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, PhD Adviser, and receiver of the Special Government Grant issued by the Chinese State Council.

• Jiang graduated from the Medical Department of Shanghai First Medical College in 1968 and obtained a master's degree in psychiatry from Shanghai Medical University in 1982.

• Acted as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Neuropsychiatry, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1992 and 1993. From 1989 to 1994, he was an active professor at the Medical Department of Shanghai Medical University. From 2002 to 2008, he acted as the Executive Director of Shanghai Medical Center for Clinical Mental Diseases. In 2004, he founded the Foundational and Clinical Psychiatry Branch of the Chinese Society of Neuroscience and Psychiatry (CSNP) and served as chairman for two consecutive sessions. Currently he remains as the honorary chairman of CSNP. At present, he is the chief editor for the Chinese Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases and associate editor for the Chinese Journal of Drug Dependence. Jiang also received second and third prizes of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, and the third prize of China National Medical Science and Technology Progress Award.
