Biography

  • Dr. Bin Li obtained his Ph.D. degree from Peking University in 2001 and did his postdoctoral training in Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He joined Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, CAS under the CAS 100-Talent Program in 2009. Currently, he is the Senior Investigator and vice director for academic affairs at the Shanghai Institute of Immunology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

  • Prof. Li’s research focuses on FOXP3+ Regulatory T cells (Treg) in inflammatory diseases, as well as their therapeutical applications. Li is a leading scientist in the field of FOXP3+ Treg in China and worldwide. Li serves as Associate Editor of Science Bulletin since 2018, and an Executive Committee member and Associate Editor of European Journal of Immunology since 2020. His work on Treg has been supported by a number of major grants including one National Science Fund of China (NSFC) for Distinguished Young Scholars, three NSFC Key Grants and two NSFC international collaborative grants.
