Research Interests

• Dr. Lu’s group makes a concerted effort to develop a strong understanding of the cancer and immune-related diseases and develop targeted novel treatments. Her research interests focus on PDX model construction, molecular target discovery and clinical translational research. Her recent work revealed the fundamental role of skin fibroblasts in attracting extramedullary infiltration of leukemia cells. Cell surface C1Q-gC1QR recognition mediated the communication of leukemia cells with fibroblasts and is a promising therapeutic target (Blood 2022).
