  Genetic Mechanism of Metabolic Bone Disease

• Professor Zhang's research focuses on the clinical and genetic mechanisms of metabolic bone disease. More than 1300 families of hereditary osteopathy have been established, including hypophosphatemic osteomalacia, osteogenesis imperfecta, progressive diaphyseal dysplasia, osteosclerosis, osteofibrous dysplasia and hypertrophic osteoarthropathy etc. We found the new pathogenic genes SLCO2A1 and PFN1 related genetic bone disease. More than 225 papers included in SCI as the first author and corresponding author have been published and 8 NSFC projects as the project leader have been presided over.
