  Pulmonary arterial hypertension.

• Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a rare, severe, and progressive disease. Irreversible pulmonary vascular remodeling is a pathological feature, along with increased mPAP on PAH. The primary pathological changes of pulmonary vascular remodeling is thought to involve many mechanisms. To investigate the mechanism and find possible way to slow down the process is more likely than to reverse it. It seems a better way to see the whole picture of pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, apoptosis-resistant endothelial cells.
