Research Interests

• Dr. Xiao is mainly engaged in basic and clinical research on lacrimal disease, orbital repair and tissue engineering bone, and has discovered the important role of immune imbalance in chronic dacryocystitis. She has received scientific training from Stanford University, and has published 29 articles (13 SCI, including 7 first-author articles). As a project leader, she has led many research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission's leading projects, and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University's medical-industrial crossover project. As a major contributor, she won the third prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award (2007), the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2007), the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education (2008), and the first prize of Hebei Excellent Medical Science and Technology Award (2006) as the first contributor.
