Research Interests

• The degeneration of the muscle skeletal system including diseases such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and intervertebral disc degeneration. The degradation of the extracellular matrix is one of the common mechanism. Our group mainly focus on the underlying mechanisms on how the extracellular matrix protein is synthesized and degraded. Moreover, we are also interested in identified strategies that can alleviate or reverse extracelluar matrix degeneration, thus to develop therapies for the treatment of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and intervertebral disc degeneration.
