Research Interests

• Our group is focused on the quorum sensing system of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and its application in the treatment of lung infection. Quorum sensing is an intercellular communication system that controls the expression of a large amount of virulence factors. We are interested in elucidating the mechanim underlying the modulation of quorum sensing activation, and developing related strategy for relieving lung injury caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa virulence. We are also interested in analyzing the clinical characteristics of patients with severe lung infection caused by different pathogens, and finding a way to predict the risks of mortality for these patients.
