Research Interests

• Professor Wang’s research directions are prevention and treatment of complications after liver transplantation. Although liver transplant surgery technology has been better developed during recent decades, patients’ survival rate and life quality are still unsatisfactory. To prevent and to deal with complications after surgery are difficult. Therefore, more detailed studies must be conducted.

• For example, complications of biliary, one of the most important factors that affect the survival rate and life quality of patients after liver transplantation, what are the important factors that cause these complications, and how do these factors play in the mechanisms? Then how to prevent these complications? What should doctors do if they happen?

• In-depth research on such questions will help to increase the survival rate and life quality of liver transplant patients. As a result, patients’ medical costs can be lower and huge social benefits will be achieved.
