Research Interests

• NAFLD is being linked to increased morbidity and mortality in various cancer types. We are now focused on further dissecting the mechanistic links between NAFLD and cancer initiation, progression, and outcome.

• The potential mechanisms by which obesity or NAFLD increases the risks of deadly co-morbidities.

• We are interested in the tumor microenvironment, especially in the role of immune and metabolism regulation during caner pathogenesis and metastasis of breast, thyroid, and liver cancer.

• Transplantation immunity, induction of immune tolerance after organ transplantation.
