Research Interests

• Research interests lie primarily in the area of Human Genetics and Genomics. We aim to find and understand biological stories of human genome through the combination of computational methods and experiments, and identifying patterns from large quantities of genome-scale biological data. The main areas of research include: Human functional genomics and mechanistic studies of candidate genes and genetic variants inspired by NGS sequencing data. Studies of evolutionary mechanism of human genome functional elements by means of systems biology and evolutionary biology. Research on the genetic material basis of human diseases and identification of pathogenic mutations or risk factors of complex human diseases.
