Research Interests

• Professor Gao Jian received his Ph.D. degree in 2009 in Anhui Medical University. He is focusing on exploring traditional Chinese medicine (TCMs) mediated anti-fibrosis activity in organ fibrosis and its underlying molecular mechanisms. So far, he has published a series of papers in peer reviewed journals, including Pharmacology Research, Phytomedicine, Journal of Ethnopharmacology and Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, etc. Professor Gao Jian is currently deputy director of drug clinical trial institution, as well as a principle investigator at the Pediatric Translational Medicine Institute, Shanghai Children’s Medical Center, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

• We are interested in exploring anti-fibrosis mechanisms, aiming at developing potential anti-fibrosis strategies derived from TCMs. Currently, we are focusing on three major aspects:

  (1) To explore novel molecular mechanisms of organ fibrosis;

  (2) To identify anti-fibrosis TCMs and uncover their underlying mechanisms;

  (3) To screen potential anti-fibrosis bio-active components of TCMs.
