Research Interests

• Over the years, Dr. Zhu has explored the surgical treatment of coronary heart disease and complications after myocardial infarction, the clinical application of mitral valve repair and minimally invasive cardiac surgery. With the evaluation of anatomical parameters of aortic root and its implication in modified valve-sparing aortic root reconstruction and aortic valve repair. In the past two years, he has led the discipline to explore the application of interventional valves and left ventricular assist devices. Basic research has focused on the pathogenesis of calcified aortic valve disease.
