Research Interests

• The prevalence of gastrointestinal tumors is relatively high worldwide. Minimally invasive surgery for GI tumors is becoming more and more popular. For the past 25 years, our group has been working on standardizing and promoting laparoscopic GI surgery, particularly for gastric cancer. Our long-term interest is to improve patient's quality of life by modifying digestive tract reconstruction, and extend overall survival of patients by advanced therapy. Because laparoscopic surgery techniques are largely matured, our future vision is to develop assisted navigation surgery using cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and fluorescence imaging. In addition, cell biology and molecular biology approaches are used to systematically analyze the mechanism of GC's metastasis.
