Research Interests

• Ji-Guang Wang is director of the Shanghai Institute of Hypertension, and director of the Department of Hypertension, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China.

• At present, he is coordinating several multicentre randomized clinical trials and population- and patient-cohort studies in China. His research interests include

• a) blood pressure measurement;

• b) assessment of hypertension-mediated organ damage;

• c) diagnostics and therapeutics of primary and secondary hypertension;

• d) role of the natriuretic peptide system in the development of hypertension
