Research Interests

• The research group leading by Prof. Xiao Jie has been focusing on chronic pain, mainly investigating the role and mechanisms of elderly osteoporotic pain. Her previous research highlights the critical role of CD4+ T cell mediated neuroinflammation in chronic pain and yielded a number of novel immuno-therapeutic targets on the peripheral T cells that could potentially provide an extended therapeutic window for chronic pain. Since CD4+ T cells are critical components of the immune system that could affect the progression of chronic pain, it’s highly warranted to further examine the immune modulation targets of CD4+ T cells in the context of chronic pain.
