Research Interests

• Guanglei Zhuang received his bachelor degree from Peking University in 2004 and Ph.D. of Cancer Biology from Vanderbilt University in 2010. He then joined Roche/Genentech Inc. as a postdoc fellow to study tumor angiogenesis and drug development. From 2014, he has been a Principle Investigator at Ren Ji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Zhuang has a long-term interest in understanding the ecological and evolutionary dynamics of human cancers, by employing integrated approaches including high-throughput technologies, multidimensional data analysis, and experimental biology. Cumulative knowledge about the molecular and cellular underpinnings is intended for informing new diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in both treatment-naïve and drug-shaped malignant disease. Dr. Zhuang has authored over 60 peer-reviewed papers, and was awarded Shanghai Eastern Scholar, Shanghai Rising-Star Scholar, and National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars.
