Research Interests

• Over 33 years of experience with the following research topics/fields, such as statistical analysis in cancer registration, population-based observed survival and relative survival analysis for common cancers, many epidemiological studies of common cancers, systematic review and meta-analysis of cancer risk factors, as well as cancer control activities in Shanghai. Regarding the case-control and cohort studies in cancer epidemiology, he has devoted long-term great efforts to study design and conduct, such as the development of questionnaires, sampling, implementation, coordination, quality control, collection of the biological sample, data management, active and passive follow-up, and statistical analysis of the large-scale database, and so on. He was also responsible for the validation studies of the food frequency questionnaire and the physical activity questionnaire in prospective, population-based cohort studies in Shanghai.
