Research Interests

• Basic and clinical research on functional gastrointestinal disorders, mucosal inflammation associated with neuro-immune interactions, brain-gut interactions, and precancerous condition of gastrointestinal tract.

1. Functional gastrointestinal disorders: epidemiology, pathophysiology of digestive symptoms (focused on gut motility, sychosomatic gastroenterology, and brain-gut interactions), and clinical therapeutics (focused on the rational application of drugs).

2. Precancerous condition of gastrointestinal tract (stomach cancer and colon cancer): epidemiology, etiology/pathogenesis/intervention, and biomarkers.
